The new year is here...

Well the pine needles have been swept up and the house again resembles a Home not Santas Grotto!
I have had 2 days with just 2 kids and have dusted off a few things on the to-do list.
Cleaned and sorted bathroom vanities...
Put Christmas pressies away in rooms....Though lots more work to do to actually organise the rooms and reduce clutter but four rooms and they usually take me near enough a day to do each kids room ...No time or inclination to do that just yet.
Kids are back tonight and it has been so so hot!

My Bub still does'nt sleep through the night ,well sometimes but not often:) and thats becomming abit annoying,He is a strong personality,Must have been the hard start in life He can be bossy and headstrong! But lately he has been unusally grumpy in the day making daily chores a battle. All he wants to do is be outside!...I think it is teething thing and frustration that he wants to be off and up and into things that makes him abit grumpy! As he is mostly a Jolly lil fella.
He is yet to get any teeth and is nearing one....Oh how time flies!

We are officially back in buisness with Hubby taking over completely our buisness on his own now...
So this will mean many changes for us again as a family. Many of the plus sides will not eventuate for some years.But we hope it'll give us flexibilty and more security in years to come.

We have to extend our building permits sadley, reno's are probley at least 2 years off...This does really make me sad as the lack of space in our living/kitchen area really does dictate what crafts I and the kids do and limits many things we always did ...Like entertaining and hosting most occasions...Though we still have a never ending stream of visitors most weeks:)

I have to think up something in Cupcake form for my Sons Birthday.
And keep thinking of ideas to keep the kids happy and occupied with holidays here and a Bub that does need and has sleeps through the day....And what can you do when it is so hot!
So all in all life is just ticking along...Whats news where you are in your world/life?

It all feels very much like Christmas now!I have survived the Birthdays we have in December...The school and kinder Christmas Partys and concerts... a interstate wedding the week before Christmas and now home we have...

Made x2 Christmas Puds, Gingerbread,rocky road,shortbread,christmas cake,melting moments...
And Have not much left to show or share...But very full tummies:)

My Very crafty Daughter spent forever on her gingerbread man decorating...
"More is More" Must be her motto!

Beautiful buttery Shortbread! Especially good when we half choc dipped some!

My baby Boy is nearly crawling so we hope the Christmas tree will be down by the time he is off...He is always over at it!...His tiny little crab like Pincer fingers reaching and playing with all the pretties...

He loves being right near the tree...

He is adorable and so smiley and delicious you just want to bite him!
The kids are growing and maturing into lovely lil people.

My Eldest Son is in his element,He loves Christmas and has the house Looking like 'elf spew!"...
There is glittery,shiny goodness on every surface!

So from My Family to yours I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
It has been a huge all consuming year with Births,death,job changes,extensions,illness and lots of trials and tribulations,But I hope 2012 will see us come out the other side and be our year!

Well Hello there!
Yes I know it has been awhile...But the dedicated Blogger in me is now a Dedicated Mummy! I must turn the PC off and only have limited time here and there on it or it seems to consume my precious time.
But not much to share has been another reason for no posts from me. Life is good,Incredibly busy and pretty mundane and normal.
With December approaching everyone gets the Christmas crazy's but I have three of the 6 of us with Birthdays and a wedding interstate this year so very Madley busy!
My Baby boy is 9months now (sob,sob,sob) He is blowing raspberries and making Brrrr Brrrrr noises right here as I type.He is amazingly cute and charming.
This picture is a recent one after a long day In and out with kinder and school drop off's pick up's...Poor Bubba Was exauhsted!

My Daughter wants a party for her 5th birthday so I am trying to work out something fun and entertaining but at home that prefferably can be done in advance...Huh! Easier said than done.
We are going to have a treasure hunt but wow I need ideas...So clever bloggers help!
I wish some of you amazing cooks lived nearby...:)
As she does'nt much like cake I am doing a Icecream cake but as the skirt of a doll...Like the dolly varden cakes...But Ice cream! Hope it works and the idea in my head comes out in real life as well as my minds eye see's it!
On the home front...
Finally after three years we have our vegie gardens done...I love to look out at the little garden beds growing away happily in the sunshine....Below you can see our hens and our 'adopted" Polish bantam rooster Named Duster,He came to live with us after a friend could'nt keep him.
The kids call him the 'rockstar" chook because of his Punk rocker hair -do! ...:)

The kids are loving picking the strawberries and eating them straight from the garden.

Other news is we have a Peacock! ...He is a young male named 'Andre"...Also needed rehoming so Here we have him!

And part 1 of our extension is completed...Just a extra bedroom but it has a walk in robe/ storage room that is huge and sooooo well used!...Hard room to photgraph though but here's a peek.
I love the color schemes and the room. I won't show the huge robe as it is a mess for now.

I am still waiting for the 2nd lounge room and big kitchen and cannot wait til that happens but we are probley 2 years off that occuring:
( The birth of our little man earmarked many changes and our plans and directions changed suddenly).
Hubby is loving being back to working for himself and us as a Family are reaping the rewards of a Happy Daddy!
So anyway better go...Am still reading along and lurking most of you and my fav blogs...Take care

Just a few random things to share....
Thanks to the few of you who have chased up as to How things are? What am I doing? As I really apprecciate the odd email or message...I still read Along most blogs but often am 'stalking"...lol!,I do try to comment but well...I am reading!!!

Answer is?? I am good,Life is certainly busy but a happy busy!

Lil Man is 7 months old and has just started to roll....As you can sort of see in the shot I tried to capture! lol!...He is thriving and is so so so smiley!....The most jolly lil guy ever.

And what have I been up to....Well cooking,cleaning,moving the house around after our new bedroom was finished... and lil guy has started solids and loves his food!...so I have been busy doing this:

Cooking & puree-ing then freezing lots of fruits and vegies to be mixed and matched for bubs meals.

Once frozen in ice cube trays I then pour them into zip lock bags for when needed.

At the moment we have Peach,Pear,Potato,pumpkin and carrot (combined) And apple.

Also for yet another quick easy " TAKE A plate" of morning tea at school for my Son's class I made these Choc dipped strawberries...Took no time at all and they were a hit!...I love these different sprinkles!

And so not in keeping with anything but just for a giggle....Whilst the 'liquid waste"truck visited here the other day.... Or in lay terms when we had the septic on the property pumped I snapped some pictures of the truck!!!! Hee,Hee...some very funny lil bits and pieces to see...
And a call out to this buisness,They were so prompt & so good Rang when they were on the way and very friendly...But I always grin when I see the Truck on the roads around here...My kids think anything about 'POO or the like is a scream!!!! If they see the truck they call out there's the "POO Truck!!!'....Oh Poor deprived Country kids!

Giant Freckles...Save a Giant meltdown!

We leave for school normally about 20 to 9...So This morning at 8.20am,I suddenly nearly had a Fit when I realised my Son was meant to take a Morning tea Plate to School to share!!!!!!
Oh No!...I often have a Frozen cake or muffins I have made but today...Nope!
But Fear not,even with only one coffee of the day under my belt,
we got this whipped up

'Giant Freckles!!!!"(and were out the door just 5 mins later than usual)
We made about 20 of these in 5mins flat and another 10 mins whilst they cooled and set in the freezer.

My Son was so pleased with them and I am sure they will be gobbled up fast!

In amongst the usual mayhem of getting ready I also was feeding Bub whilst painting whiskers on my Youngest Daughter who had dress up day at Kinder!...She was dressed as a Lion!
Gee all this before 9am...Sheesh!

It has been awhile...

It has been awhile...too long really since I blogged...I am reading along with my Favs though.
Life for us the last 18 months has been all consuming with Births,job changes,and so much more...

But I am posting this as a tribute to my Beloved ,adored and surely missed Grandfather...
Monday the 15th just 5 days ago is a day where I grew up just alittle more...
The day I rushed to be there when the call came he was 'leaving"....I did not make it.
He always hated goodbyes...always wanted you to Linger a little longer...One More cuppa before heading home.

Yesterday was the final "Goodbye and see you one day" for my Pa.
The Day I saw 2 of the most courageous Women My Granny and My Mum Show what true love is....

Married to his dedicated,all loving and totally amazing Wife for 67 years!
A squadron Leader for the RAAF.
A Stunt kite designer and builder
A draftsman....Responsible for the Canary Islands runway design...Mapped parts of Australia.
A race car caller...
Model Plane builder...
A avid fisherman...Only happy where the sun shone and by the sea...
A larrakin...Often a little bit 'naughty"Possessed a wicked sense of Humor...Always way too nice...Saw the best in everyone.
From the Great Love he and Gran shared was Born My Mum...There only Child.
She birthed four children...And yesterday when we laid him to rest 5 generations were Represented there..
4 Grandchildren.... .20 Great Grandkids,Another on the way...One great great Grandkid...Amazing.

The last and final Thing I got to do for my Pa....Was to read a Poem I wrote...My Kids each laid a Yellow (his fav Color) flower On his coffin and I brought armfulls of Wattle from the Bush where we live ...
